One other idea related to your "Photos" idea is to give Grandma/Grandpa a digital photo frame. This was a big hit recently with my mother-in-law who lives out of state. We gave her one for her birthday a few months ago and she loves it! We take a ton of photos of our kids, copy them regularly to a memory card the frame uses, and send that to Grandma! She puts it in her frame and she instantly has an updated slide show of her grandkids!
