Romantic Vacations to Keep Your Love Alive

No matter how hard you try, it’s hard to keep that love alive when you’re dealing with the daily grind. One of the best ways to wake up your love life is to go on . There are literally thousands of places for you to go to fan that flame.

Before you settle on any one location you’ll need to make sure that it’s the right place for you. Different personalities require different types of vacations. One couple might prefer the sun and sand while another would rather be ski bunnies.

You’ll also have to consider your partner as an individual as well. Just because you like certain kinds of romantic vacations doesn’t meant that they will agree! It’s not romantic if only one of you thinks so. It seems like a lot to keep track of but it’s not hard if you relax and enjoy the planning that goes into it.

Some of the most popular romantic vacations are:

- Find yourself in the Big Apple. There is always something romantic to do here in the city that never sleeps. This is best for couples who love to live the good life and be surrounded by the hubbub of busy place that has a lot of romantic attributes.

Virginia - Virginia is for lovers! There are so many great things for you to do in Virginia. The Shenandoah Valley is simply beautiful (I can personally attest to this, since I live here:). You can stay in cabins here and enjoy the outdoor life. This is best for couples who like to explore, hike, and be outside.

Paris - Paris is one of the romantic vacations that people dream about. If you’ve ever seen romantic movies, chances are you’ve seen one or two of them that were set in Paris. The Eiffel Tower is just the icing on the cake with all of the romantic activities there are to see and do in Paris.

Seattle - Have you ever seen “Sleepless in Seattle? That movie alone has given the city a romantic name. This is one of the hippest cities around and offers a great time to the young and old.

Your Own Town – Did you know that your own town could be part of your romantic vacations? Chances are that there are many great ways to be more romantic right where you live! This isn’t recommended if you really need to get away, but it’s worth finding romance all around you.

CruiseDirect - Find the Perfect Cruise!

Cruises - There are dozens and dozens of cruises leaving at any given time. It doesn’t matter whether you like warm or cold weather; there is a cruise that is perfect for you. You can even get fantastic rates if you are able to go on romantic vacations in the off-season.

Wherever you and your partner are, you can be romantic. When you choose one of these places they will help to get you there. Take some time off from your daily life so that you can make sure you’re going to have the best time you’ve ever had falling in love all over again. Romantic vacations are the number one way to make that happen!

Family Travel Tips: Just in time for July 4th!

STRESSLESS SUMMER TRAVEL WITH KIDS: TIPS FOR THE PLANE, TRAIN OR AUTOMOBILE

As parents gear up to hit the road, they come to realization that tossing stuff in a suitcase is not going to work like it did in their pre-baby years. There are so many necessities for keeping kids happy and healthy while traveling that the task of getting everything together is daunting. Stacy DeBroff, parenting guru, author and founder of MomCentral.com has partnered with CVS pharmacy and their new line of Baby Care products to provide tips for creating the ultimate travel survival kit for stress-less and fun travel, no matter whether it’s via plane, train or automobile:

JUST IN CASE…

  • Bring along a spare set of clothes for everyone (parents included)
  • Don’t leave home without the cloth wipes as they can salvage almost any unexpected spill or spit-up. PLAYSKOOL Cottony Cloths are unique wipes as they are made with real cotton so they stay super-soft and strong, meaning you only have to pack a few
  • Pack doubles of essentials, from pacifiers to diapers
  • For toddlers, insulated with flip top design are perfect for travel as they both keep drinks cool longer, but also help prevent accidental spills
  • Include snacks that won’t crumble or go bad, like pretzels or raisins, and drinks that don’t leave impossible stains, like bottles of water or apple juice boxes
  • Split each family member’s clothes among your suitcases in case one bag is lost
  • If staying at a hotel, bring along adhesive bandages to cover and baby proof any exposed outlets in the hotel room

KEEPING YOUR BABY OR TODDLER ENTERTAINED

  • Nesting toys, baby proof mirrors, soft animals, plastic keys and help keep baby entertained and less fussy
  • Keep Teething Keys in a cooler, and look for ones filled with non-toxic Ice Gel that remains soft even when frozen and gentle on baby’s sore gums
  • Toddler picks include stickers and sticker books, crayons, small-wheeled cars and trucks and blank paper and rubber stamps
  • Don’t give your child too many sweets: all the candy, junk food, and soda often leave kids feeling sick on the flight
  • Buy small gifts and wrap them in tissue paper to hand out in spaced-out intervals

CAR TRAVEL

  • Spread a sheet or beach towel over the backseat to make cleaning up spills and crumbs that much easier
  • On those hot summer days when metal seatbelts can get too hot, cut an old sock and fit it over the seatbelt
  • Put a box of toys or a soft suitcase or a diaper bag between two kids in the backseat. It gives them boundaries and also serves as an ad hoc table for play

PLANE

  • Pack your diaper bag as if you were going to a desert island for an entire day!
  • Request a bulkhead seat with lots of extra leg room to stand up and play in
  • Loop toddler or baby toys on a thick cotton rope, as this keeps them from being flung into the aisles or on the laps of fellow passengers!
  • Suction toys that won’t fall off the airline trays make perfect playthings for babies

Tips For Camping With Kids

With the warmer weather upon us, kids will want to get outdoors more and more. And what better way to spend time with the entire family in the outdoors, than going camping?

is great family fun, but with children there are a lot of extra considerations. To keep your sanity and really enjoy yourself, try some of these tips for a more relaxed, hassle free vacation.

1. Backpacks for everyone: Except for the very youngest, backpacks are the ideal way to carry clothes and necessities for each individual. They take up less room than suitcases or equipment bags, which you often don’t have room for in a anyway. Make each person responsible for carrying their own stuff.

Traveling with Kids Tips

2. Minimal packing: Take only what you need, and not a dozen changes of clothing according to the time of day, for fussier children. Take the number of days you’ll be gone, and factor in emergency changes of clothes. Lay out each child’s items, or fill their backpack yourself. Give older children a list of what they must have, and check before leaving to see if it’s all there.

3. Wash and wear: Make sure everyone has clothes that can be tossed in the nearest Laundromat, and not worry about the wrinkles from being carried in a . You’re not likely to need much in the way of dress up items.

4. Make sure you have the necessities, including bathroom tissue, small package of laundry soap, extra toothbrushes, first aid kit, bug repellant and bite treatments, sunscreen, and a radio with spare batteries.
