Before you settle on any one location you’ll need to make sure that it’s the right place for you. Different personalities require different types of vacations. One couple might prefer the sun and sand while another would rather be ski bunnies.

Seattle - Have you ever seen “Sleepless in Seattle”? That movie alone has given the city a romantic name. This is one of the hippest cities around and offers a great time to the young and old.

Your Own Town – Did you know that your own town could be part of your romantic vacations? Chances are that there are many great ways to be more romantic right where you live! This isn’t recommended if you really need to get away, but it’s worth finding romance all around you.

Cruises - There are dozens and dozens of cruises leaving at any given time. It doesn’t matter whether you like warm or cold weather; there is a cruise that is perfect for you. You can even get fantastic rates if you are able to go on romantic vacations in the off-season.

As parents gear up to hit the road, they come to realization that tossing stuff in a suitcase is not going to work like it did in their pre-baby years. There are so many necessities for keeping kids happy and healthy while traveling that the task of getting everything together is daunting. JUST IN CASE…

• Bring along a spare set of clothes for everyone (parents included)

• Request a bulkhead seat with lots of extra leg room to stand up and play in

Tips For Camping With Kids

With the warmer weather upon us, kids will want to get outdoors more and more. And what better way to spend time with the entire family in the outdoors, than going camping?

is great family fun, but with children there are a lot of extra considerations. To keep your sanity and really enjoy yourself, try some of these tips for a more relaxed, hassle free vacation.

1. Backpacks for everyone: Except for the very youngest, backpacks are the ideal way to carry clothes and necessities for each individual. They take up less room than suitcases or equipment bags, which you often don’t have room for in a anyway. Make each person responsible for carrying their own stuff.

2. Minimal packing: Take only what you need, and not a dozen changes of clothing according to the time of day, for fussier children. Take the number of days you’ll be gone, and factor in emergency changes of clothes. Lay out each child’s items, or fill their backpack yourself. Give older children a list of what they must have, and check before leaving to see if it’s all there.

3. Wash and wear: Make sure everyone has clothes that can be tossed in the nearest Laundromat, and not worry about the wrinkles from being carried in a . You’re not likely to need much in the way of dress up items.

4. Make sure you have the necessities, including bathroom tissue, small package of laundry soap, extra toothbrushes, first aid kit, bug repellant and bite treatments, sunscreen, and a radio with spare batteries.
