The shed: a beautiful retreat or office
People who have yearned for their own exercise studio or office, but don’t have room for one in the house, are going outside. They are remolding the shed or building new backyard rooms.
Called garden buildings in Europe, they are popular in many countries. In the U.S., architects say they’re part of a trend to move the outdoors in and the indoors outside.
An accomplished do-it-yourselfer can build a 10-foot by12-foot room from a kit for as little as $2,000 to $10,000, though many people are willing to pay much more. They want a retreat where they can “get away from it all.”
Adding electricity, heat, and air conditioning brings the price up by several thousand dollars, but worth every penny of it.

Most buildings come with a floor. If your ground is level, you can support the floor with patio stones or concrete blocks.

Roller shoes - great danger for kids
Injuries from roller shoes are far more numerous than previously thought. Sold by Carrollton, Texas-based , Inc., the shoes feature removable wheels in each heel that pop out when wearers shift their weight to their heels. They are sold in 70 countries.
A report in Pediatrics shows that 67 children were treated for roller-shoe injuries at a hospital in Dublin, Ireland over 10 weeks last summer.
The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons recommends helmet, wrist protectors, and knee and elbow pads for kids who wear wheeled shoes.
